Negative staining is widely used method for visualizing proteins and macromolecular complexes at the EM level.
All of these coated grids are optically checked followed by batch testing in the EM then packed in a grid storage box.

Carbon Film on Copper
A thin film of pure carbon deposited on one side of the grid. The thickness range is as follows:
Standard: Approx. 5-6nm
Formvar film on Copper
A thin film of pure formvar resin. The thickness range is as follows:
Standard: Approx. 10nm
Formvar/Carbon Film on Copper
A formvar coated grid, stabilized with evaporated carbon film. This type of coating is excellent for specimen support.
Standard Tickness: 10nm Formvar and 1nm Carbon
