Lid options explained:

No Lid - This means the pack or grid box does not come with a lid

Plastic Pin Lid - The Transluscent Blue Pin Lid is the optimal geometry for use with NanoSoft's hybrid grid box in all Thermo Fisher Scientific cryoEM workflow stations (Clipping Station, Cassette Loading Station). The slightly smaller diameter allows for completely unencumbered access to all unclipped grid and autogrid pockets in all stations. Works with all NanoSoft grid box designs and with all other types of grid boxes.

Metal Pin Lid - The Metal Pin Lid performs the same as traditional plastic pin lids, however the higher quality aluminum material is more robust and more importantly reduces the likelihood of static electricity building up on the lid, as can be observed with plastic pin lids. The metal lid can more easily dissipate charge, reducing the likelihood of losing unclipped grids to your lid during sample preparation and handling. Works with the normal pin lid tools.

Low Profile Lid - The Low Profile Lid is made of anodized aluminum and is screwed on and off of the grid box with a hex key/allen wrench. The low thickness of the lid means you can stack 2 grid boxes and lids in 1 pocket of a cryoEM grid storage puck, doubling your storage capacity. The anodized aluminum is highly robust, and is less susceptible to static electricity than plastic lids.

Serial number - Each box comes with a unique serial number. The serial number is not customizable and are random.
