PAL 5C

5C SB II Beamline is dedicated to conventional single anomalous dispersion or multi-wavelength anomalous dispersion methods for interpreting the crystal structure of biological macromolecules such as protein, DNA, and RNA and their complexes in nearly physiological environments.

This Beamline is designed for structural investigation of biomaterials by using high brilliance of in-vacuum undulator insertion device source, utilizing the Eiger 9M detector. The main optics contain a DCM (Double Crystal Monochromator) and a focusing mirror. It is tuneable over a wavelength range of 0.729 – 1.907 Å and has a standard working energy of 0.979Å or 12.658 keV. 1PAL MX 5C . (n.d.).
