APS 21-ID-E (LS-CATS)

Sector 21 uses canted undulators to provide two independent sources for four ID end stations: 21-ID-D, 21-ID-E, 21-ID-F, and 21-ID-G. All four stations can be used simultaneously and independently. The 21-ID-D station supports macromolecular crystallography, SAD and MAD phasing over a wide energy range from 6.5 keV to 20 keV. All LS-CAT experimental stations are equipped with MD-2 diffractometers with state-of-the-art features such as on-axis sample viewing with precision zoom, automatic sample alignment, omega/kappa/phi motions, and a tuned piezoelectric fast shutter. 1Argonne National Laboratory, LS-CAT: Beamline 21-ID-D.   • 20 x Dual-Thickness MicroLoops ™ LD  (5 each of 10, 20, 30 and 50 μm aperture sizes)
  • 40 x Dual-Thickness MicroMount ™ (10 each of 75, 100, 150 and 200 μm aperture sizes)
  • 20 x Dual-Thickness MicroLoops ™  (5 each of 300, 400, 500 and 600 μm aperture sizes)
  • 20 x MicroMeshes ™  (5 each of 10, 25, 50 and 25L μm aperture sizes)
• Installed in 100 B5-R reusable bases or 100 regular bases
• Packaged and stored in 5 MiTeGen base holders
