Once a flow-cell is mounted to the goniometer magnet, samples can be delivered to the X-ray using a syringe-pump setup and data from continuously flowing sample are collected from within the capillary.
Serial FloXcells are compatible with a range of catcher designed to orient in different directions based on the alignment of goniometer magnet.
Some catchers are integrated with holders for fiber-optic cables for conducting light-illumination experiments.

To help you make the correct product selection the following guidelines are available:
For first time users
For labs the Serial FloXcell Starter Practice Kit (SKU: MS-SX-STP) is recommended. This kit provides the bench (posts, connectors, magnets, syringes) to start with.
For Synchrotrons the Serial FloXcell Starter Practice Kit (SKU: MS-SX-STA) is recommended. Since the facility will likely have benches for connecting the flow-cell.
Once the starter kits have been tried
After the starter kits have been tried, the selection of product is based on the combination of type of research and beamline the research will be conducted at. Please use the contact form (See tab named Ask Question) and complete the information requested and we will advise further.
Selection of accessories
The selection of accessories is for connection between the flow-cell and syringe-needle to help maintain a steady flow of samples from the syringe to the flow-cell capillary. It is NOT for any specific beamline and should work in all beamlines. Accessories are connectors, sleeves and Hamiltons syringes that are compatible with a syringe pump. Assembly protocol for Serial X FleXi plugs.
1. Serial X plug + polymicro-tube + glass capillary
2. Insert polymicro-tube through the channel of a Serial X plug to a desired height below the nozzle.
3. Encapsulate the polymicro-tube and nozzle with a glass capilliary. Add tiny drops of superglue at the marked positions.
4. Insert a magnet on the top. A Serial X flowcell is ready for sample delivery.
