Customized Shelved Storage Cane for MiTeGen 2nd Generation Cryo-EM Pucks

For custom cane inquiries or to check if one of our standard canes will fit your storage Dewar, please measure the indicated cane dimensions A through F (see below) and the Dewar dimensions G and H (see below) and submit them using the Custom Cane Inquiry form located to the right (inches, cm or mm are fine).

If possible please include photographs of the cane taken from the side, and a photo of the opening into the Dewar showing any collar around the opening.

Explanation of the dimensions:

A is the height of the insulating section

B is from the top of the canister to the bottom of the hook (the hanging surface)

C is the distance from the side of the canister to the far edge of the insulator

D is the height of the canister (please include any feet or protrusions from the bottom in the height measurement)

F is the diameter of the cane

G is the height of the neck-tube core

H is the diameter of the Dewar opening

Depending on the storage dewar you have, you may or may not need a custom storage cane.

Listed below are the storage dewars for which we offer prebuilt storage canes. If your storage dewar is not listed, then you will need to request our custom shelved storage cane.

We offer shelved storage canes for the:

IC Biomedical TW34, TW35-6, HC34 and VHC35. This shelved storage cane has the SKU M-CEMSTC-2. Note, that the HC34 and VHC35 may have the brand name of IC Biomedical, Worthington or Taylor Wharton.

IC Biomedical TW35-10 and HC35. This shelved storage cane has the SKU M-CEMSTC-2-35. Note that the HC35 may have the brand name IC Biomedical, Worthington or Taylor Wharton.

Remember, these shelved storage canes are designed to hold our MiTeGen Generation 2 Cryo-EM Grid storage pucks. If you have cryo-EM grid storage pucks from another manufacturer, we have no way of knowing whether those pucks will work with our shelved storage canes.
