Nanosoft Cryo Tweezer Repair

If you damage your Nanosoft Cryo Tweezers, you can send them to us for repair.

Despite treating tweezers with great care, inevitably, their continued use can lead to damage, particularly to the tips. Damaged tips on tweezers used for plunge freezing make handling the grid difficult, leading to dropped grids, wasted time, wasted sample, etc. There have always been two options: buy tweezers, then machine and assemble them yourself (and hope they don’t interfere with blotting!), or pay full price for a brand new tweezer assembly.

We have a new option – send in your damaged Nanosoft Cryo-Tweezers and receive them back like new. We replace the damaged tweezers with a new pair. Our repair service spares you the time and headache of trying to refurbish your own tweezers, and at a significant discount from the price of new Cryo-Tweezers.

We cannot guarantee that we will be successful in the repair. If we are not, we will not charge for the repair. There is the slight possibility that the tips could break during the repair process, in which case we will not be able to bring them back to a functional state (and we are not to be held responsible for providing a replacement).

It is recommended they be sent via a courier such as FedEx or UPS, where tracking information and delivery confirmation is available. (Ground service from your location should reach us in a day.)

Timeline for repair: Repairs typically take 1-2 weeks after receiving the returned unit, depending on current requests. That said, we can prioritize/rush repairs if the unit is needed back in the lab more urgently.

Charges: We would bill/invoice for the repair at the time of shipping the repaired unit back to you. If ordering via CC, we may place a hold charge on the card prior to delivery.
